I don't know who's available at short notice as the deadline is april. It's april beacause Kessler most fight his mandatory in June.

If possible I'd love to see Kessler vs. Miranda still.

Bika has nothing lined up to my knowledge, that would be a good fight, I think he would be willing to fight Kessler in April.

Interesting. Especially since Bika once was Kessler's sparring partner and felt that Kess was in a class of his own. That was up to the Andrade fight.

He won't think so if he signs on for the fight.

I think a Bika fight would be better than a Miranda fight, Bika is a better fighter and a moderately big name in the US because of The Contender.

I've heard the Don King side of the story before. The problem is Hopkins spent most of his career without a promoter and has had time since then to renegotiate the fight. Why wait 5 years?

The probability of such a fight or any fight before Kessler's June mandatory is slim however. Palle said he'd work towards that fight now.

Kessler must be fuming with his management if he wasn't already.

Kessler already in training for a fight in April. Please go to US and take on the likes of Miranda, Bika, Johnson or .......? Then a mandatory in the summer/fall and then the unification fight in the spring against Bute. Counting 1 - 2 - 3 fights ......... and your are out - MOGENS PALLE

I don't know, but eventually they did fight, and Calzaghe at least tried to get the bout made earlier. His win over Bernard is still one of Joe's best victories to date regardless of what the haters say.

Tell me about it. What annoys me about Calzaghe haters is that they seem to have no knowledge about his career. It appears as if they look at boxrec and assume he dodged challenges. He could have done more with his career, but it wasn't as if all the big challenges in/around his weight class were chasing him with irresistible offers that he kept rejecting.
