Look at Jeff Lacy, as soon as he tasted defeat he was labelled as a bum. You don't get that over here. I'm looking forward to seeing Jennings back on the domestic level and following his career more. Even though he lost, I respect his courage, and heart. He deserves more exposure back at home.
People still supported Lacy after his loss. I was there at the Lacy vs Taylor fight and he still had a large portion of fans cheering for him. You shouldn't take this board as if it encompasses a whole population. Pavlik was embraced by his hometown after his defeat to Hopkins. The tickets sold out in under 21 hours.

      Brook or Gio?
      Brook.

I like Jennings, but I like Brook more. If Brook could get Jennings out of there before the 7th he would be ready to fight someone like Quintana or Gomez. A win against either of those two would set him up for a fight with the big boys.

How many Yank fans will ever go abroad in masses to follow their team/fighter? I think the reason is that Yanks always play sports which do not really have mass following worldwide. But keeping it to Boxing, you hardly see any Yanks following their fighter abroad. Hatton/Calzaghe fans in the US were amazing. Never in a million years would Yanks go abroad in such numbers to support their boys.

No doubt, Pavlik is very popular. I just felt like Lacy was cast into the bin.

To be fair, thats maybe because their top figters don't tend to travel. I'm sure Pavlik would bring a few hundred from Youngstown, if he was fighting Calzaghe in Wales.

He was cast into the bin because of his performances after the Calzaghe bout.

Lacy nearly lost to Manfraudo FFS. It would of been impossible to hype him as an elite fighter after that bout.

Not a bait thread either btw guys im serious and just asking ok
Even though the pound's value has been down, it is still higher than the dollar. I am sure that if you go here in the US, everything is cheaper compare to the UK. If it is the other way around, i would have gone to watch Calzaghe vs Lacy back then.

When the Pac-Hatton comes up, Hatton does bring the money. The reason is the economy and the value of the money. Philippines economy is bad and the dollar is about 48 pesos. Only the super rich in Philippine can go to the US and watch a Pac fight.
