If Pac honestly thinks he can stand and trade with Hatton he's going to be in for a very rude shock and be eating canvas multiple times.

Hatton may not have the skills of pac but he's bigger, harder punching and natuarly much stronger, pac cannot win a toe to toe slugfest with Hatton.

that said i don't think Roach believes that pac standing front of hatton and throwing leather is a smart gameplan.

Why would you abandon your fighters advantages and fight in your opponents world.

I get what you're saying. I think what Roach is saying is that toe-to-toe, Pacquiao beats him. Not necessarily that Pacquiao is trading with him right in front of Hatton because Hatton needs a guy to stand right in front of him to get his work done. Pacquiao has a way of trading while not being right in front of you. His footwork allows him to get his work done, move out of range when the other guy is supposed to punch, then when he can't punch go right back in and throw his off-beat, staccato combinations.

Pacquiao has grown into a more physical fighter, though he's no Hatton on the inside. What I liked was in the Marquez fight whenever they got in close he would do the hitting and holding, reminds me of Yao Ming becoming wise to the game and trash-talking lol.
