No but one of Pea's best traits was the fact that he was so short and consistently got shorter - crouching low, etc. Having a height and reach advantage over Pea meant nothing. Everyone did.

But who am I kidding? Not speaking to you specifically but a lot of these cats probably started watching Pea around the DLH fight. And these same guys grew up thinking Mayweather is the best thing they've ever seen.

Very, very true. A lot of them don't seem open to the idea that there have been better boxers than Mayweather either. You don't come across many Floyd fans actively looking for Sweet Pea fights to watch

Or that (gasp!) not only was Pea as dominant as Floyd was but he did it against better opposition.

I know, I keep telling Floyd fans to compare Pea vs Chavez with PBF vs Castillo. I haven't heard back yet though...

ok, i get what you're saying... your saying the size advantage won't matter because of pea's skills.

but I'm working off the premise that floyd's and pea's skills will negate each other. If they do, then I believe the size advantage will play a bigger role than usual in determining the winner of the bout.

well, castillo aint chavez, but then again pea wasn't fighting chavez with an injured shoulder (or whatever injury floyd sustained).

Even the rematch wasn't a walk in the park for Floyd. It wasn't as close as the first fight, but it was still close.

I don't think Floyd would negate Whitaker's skills. I think Pea would force Floyd into the role of the more aggressive fighter. Which is where Floyd looks least comfortable in the ring.

True. Too bad Floyd never fought anyone on Chavez's level.
