Imagine how frustrating it must been to be in the same ring as him. The guy was incredible!

mayweather is very good, whitaker is a top 30 atg. whitaker 117-111.

I agree there, I don't think many Floyd fans have seen much of Sweet Pea.

How exactly is Floyd too big for Whitaker?

I dunno the exact measurements but from memory floyd is taller and has more length than whitaker who has a more stocky build.

No way does Floyd hold the weight better. Whitake rmoved to 154 and handily beat the accomplished Julio Cesar Vasquez at that weight.

but you conceed the point about floyd having height and reach advantages?

This thread was up a few weeks back and guys like Dynamite suggested i watched some Sweet Pea videos. And i have done.



The fight will always got to decision, its pretty difficult to say but at Lightweight i think Floyd steals a victory.

floyd blocks much better and counters off of the block better, which i've argued so many times on this forum before, that is something pernell has to have to beat floyd, his upperbody, movement was beautiful. the problem with pernell was, he didn't really block well, floyd does both well, hits harder, jabs to the body better, has a better left hook than pernell's right hook, imo a better chin, and is too methodical for pernell,, period. floyd is very methodical. you don't know what to expect from him when he fights because he's constantly making changes. pernell has the better jab as far as throwing more, especially at the higher weights, but floyd does has a very good jab with a good feint, and floyd can change his right hand to the body well also, like he did with corley in the 1st round of their fight/ he threw a right hook to his body while going to corley's left, and threw him off. that is the things you have to watch when floyd fights, those small changes that he makes to his fight game, it's something that makes him that much more difficult to beat. this fight would be good, i would love to see it, but floyd takes this one, and i think pernell is the most crafty fighter i've seen ever.
