I am going on record now to say that Hatton will beat in pacquiao in 8 rounds.

Hatton will be too strong, he will rough pac up and stop him.

There is no way pac will be given the freedom to land the 3,4,5,6 punch combos that he landed on de la hoya. If he is lucky he will land 2 and then get tied up. He will be pushed, bullied and roughed up.

I know that this is not pure boxing class or skills, but Hatton will rough him up and tie him up at every opportunity he gets.

Lee Beard has already stated that they (the training team) know the one weakness of pacquiao, and have the perfect shot. Watch the Castillo and Malignaggi fights. In the Castillo fight Hatton is constantly looking for THAT body shot. Watch the Malignaggi fight - he is always going for that over hand right (which rocked and almost KO'd malignaggi). Once he finds a weakness, hatton will expose it.

That is not too say that pacquiao will not expose hattons (very questionable) defence - he is capable of landing a brutal combination and stopping hatton, or opening a nasty cut - but I think Hatton will ride out the storm and stop pac.

Also, people constantly question hattons chin and punch resistance... yes he has been rocked and been in trouble but with his style he is always going to get caught - thats what makes him exciting to watch. AND being caught and in trouble does not = a weak chin. A weak chin = lights out as soon as you take a solid punch (Khan). A weak chinned fighter does not beat Kostya Tszuyu over 11 rounds, or move up in weight to fight a big awkward south paw and grind out a win.

    Just my opinion.

Not by ring he wasn't and I'll take ring ranking, an informed opinion based on the findings a number of experts (something you clearly aren't)

Castillio wasn't shot, he was being outworked but still looked fine and then got his ribs broken by one of the finest bodyshots ever thrown.

The ESPN commentator almost organsmed over that punch.

Tzsyu is a great, Castillio will probably be HoF.

Hatton beat Collazo a damn sight more convincingly than Berto who is hailed as the future of 147.

No Berto did'nt almost get Ko'ed and have to do the slow dance with Collazo to survive the round.

              9) Maussa, WBA world titleholder at the time

Plus about ten other decent fighters like Tackie, Mitchell, etc.

              Very good resume!

              Magnificent post.

Obviously you can't compare Hatton to Calzaghe as he was a World Champion for over a decade and has never been beaten, but he is one of our tiny island nation's best fighters right now.

i dont consider Hatton an atg or anything but beating pascal, mormeck, enzo, and Barret is not as good as beating KT, PM, JU, LC, and JLC. and id rather get beat by Floyd than Carl Thompson

Carl Froch is a nobody compared to Hatton. Froch has an abc strap and one decent win, Hatton is the Ring Champion and has beaten a couple of legends.
Haye may or may not be the goods, but he is just a contender at the moment. Neither man should be held in higher regard than Ricky Hatton.
