If you honestly believe that a 30 second statement about a potential fight 7 months down the road was a legitimate offer, then I have some land down in Florida you might be interested in.

LOL! Also, no-one is claiming that Marquez feared Campbell, it was boxing politics rather than fear that froze Campbell out, but it's obvious the Campbell was more deserving of a shot against the lineal champion than the man he'd just beaten was.

This is a quality match-up and it really deserves a title. It would have been farcicle if Khan-Barrera was for the title,I like Khan, and Barrera was a great fighter but for a world title? Neither has done anything recently that remotely deserves a title shot.

This is good news! The winner of JMM-Diaz will be a worthy WBO champion.

Happy to see it won't go to Amir Khan were to beat old, shot Barrera. He would have been a weak titleholder.

Good news 135 is almost all situated until Guzman vs Moses for WBA, and Funeka vs. Diaz/Casamayor winner for IBF are made.(speculation)

its not often that the governing bodies do something right but when they do you have to give credit and this is a good move. it brings a bit more credibility to the WBO belt as well.

winner will be a very respectable title holder as well.

30 second statement? It was Campbell who took his time to rant about Richard Schafer bitching about how they wanted to take advantage of fighting him in November so they could make Casamayor-Diaz remember? If Campbell took 5 pages or whatever it was to rant about a 30 second offer then, that's...pathetic? Maybe not pathetic, but it's mind boggling that Campbell would take the time to respond when it wasn't a legit offer.

Marquez wanted to fight Campbell, there were numerous reports that you guys were in negotiations. Do you deny those took place? I know it really helps Campbell's reputation if he is the "BIG BAD DUCKED FIGHTER THAT NO ONE WANTS TO FIGHT", but I'm not buying it.

Also Campbell being out 11 months had a lot to do with the banruptcy, the Guzman fiasco, and him signing on to fight Funeka. I don't really think that people are avoiding him.
