It's going to be a great fight. Marquez is my favorite boxer but I like Juan Diaz a lot too. I want to see Marquez win but should Diaz win, my disappointment won't be huge as the young blood in the sport need to step up as the new stars and Juan Diaz is one who I think will. Regardless, both guys have a style in front of them that will push them to the limit which is why we as fans win. I'd like to see Marquez take this with Diaz getting a chance to fight for one of Campbells vacant titles in his next fight. I think he is totally worthy of it and a loss to Marquez is nothing to be ashamed of.

It just depends on how well Diaz can take JMM's power. If he can handle it without slowing down, then JMM is in for a tough fight. If it slows or hurts him, then it'll be easy work for JMM because Juan's defense is his offense.

funny thing is, im originally FROM houston. i was raised there for a good part of my life, but also raised in mexico too.

should be fun. my ex is coming with me and she's a huge JMM fan too so if something happens, she's already used to seein me gettin whopped by 6+ dudes at the same time.

So I will be rooting for him against Juan Diaz when I go to the fight. I'll actually be designing a JMM shirt to wear and hopefully, I don't get popped.

Anyway, I just really can't see how this fight is going to go. I want to favor JMM's counterpunching skills and accuracy over Diaz's agressive combination punching but Diaz has a style that JMM has not yet faced.

Pacquiao threw combinations against JMM, but the majority were from the outside. Diaz on the other hand, bullies his way into personal space and thats when he releases coupled with the way he circles around his opponent when throwing combinations.

The way I see JMM staying out of danger of this is by backpeddling and lateral movement everytime Diaz goes for the attack because he wont be able to outmuscle Diaz like Campbell did.

Only problem is, thats not very much Marquez's game. Slip and counterpunch. Thats what he does.

I just dont know.

I think Diaz will win this, Marquez had problems with the strong chinned, come forward yet smart aggression from Barrera. Diaz will proberbly mimic that but with a high workrate and more inside work.

Marquez may well win it's a 50/50 fight IMO, but I'm leaning towards Diaz.
