Alfinso Gomez Released From Contender Contract.

These contender contracts are starting to sound more and more like Don King contracts. Fighters are throwing celebration parties upon their release.

Alfonso Gomez will never get another title shot again now that he is leaving the Contender and it's not as though he deserved one in the first place. Alfonso only cares about trying to promote that shiety music he and his brothers are producing :gay: The only Contenders that are really worth anything at the moment are Mora and Bika, the rest can kick rocks or crawl back under it.

Gomez seemed to have a pretty big following so he could probably make a couple of dollars at the club circuit/espn scene.

good. that contenders had to give them a share of their fight purse after they had already made them money by being on their show was complete bull ****.

His following should be able to make him a couple of dollars that the Contender people will not be entitled to now.

This might just be the begining of a lot of contender partakers wanting out, and the ending for the contender show in its entirety.

Gomez is going nowhere. It was all smoke and mirrors.
His "following" isnt as big as one would believe. Without those gauranteed payouts its over.

Gomez would have taken the fight against Angulo when he was scheduled to replace Mayorga originally but chose to go in the direction of getting out of his contract with the contender people instead. Something tells me now that the contender people are out of his way he would jump at such an oppourtunity in a heartbeat.
