I'm not trying to pull him down to his level...both are the same, one just got a slap on the hand. FYI I argued with Vargas fans about this back in the day cause they would be saying Tito had illegal wraps for that fight. I even told them, they had no proof of it.

No they are not the same.

Fighting with to much protective gauze will not hurt your opponent, if anything it will reduce your punching power.

Fighting with hardened pads in your wraps significantly increases your punching power and the likelyhood that you will perminantly damage your opponent.

They are totally opposite, one being designed to prolong your career the other designed to shorten your opponents.
