Tito was illegally wraping his hands with tape directly on the fist, which is completely illegal and with the amount of tape and guaze he was using, his wraps ended up like casts as well. Different approach but same intent.

I don't see how. Tito's intent was to inflict more damage on his opponent. They were applying tape directly on his bare fist and using twice the amount of tape to create a very hard wrap. Basically creating a cast. Ask Vargas and Joppy what it felt like and thier description would probably be similar to what Cotto and Cintron would say.
