Agreed.I was at the fight last night and I thought from the third round on that Funeka boxed beautifully. I had him winning the fight. I am sure that if he was the bigger name fighter last night he would have certainly won that fight. What impressed me the most about Funeka was his ability to mix it up on the inside, he actually fights very well on the inside. He had a very solid jab which he doubled and tripled up on, he has good handspeed to go along with the long arms, plus I thought he had very good footwork for a big guy. Even though I am a fan of Nate, I wish Funeka well, and thought he won the fight.Comment

Campbell won the fight, see with your eyes and not your ears in listening to the commentating.
Campbell easily won first two rounds and last two and 2 knockdowns and youre telling me he won nothing in between? Please! Funeka wasnt landing hardly anything and punchstats told this, Campbell threw less and landed more, right there that tells you who had the better defense, which is one criteria of judging. Not to mention Campbell landed more cleanly, move the guy back all night with effective aggression and dictated the pace of the fight. Funeka was fighting to keep Campbell off of him, which speaks volumes to judges, composure says alot.Comment

I had Funeka winning the 3rd round, from what I remember. I'll have to rewatch the whole fight to give you a scorecard but from what i remember, it could have gone either way and Nate managed to put himself back into itComment

Funeka did remind me a lot of Paul Williams, and his workrate and punch variety was pretty amazing in my opinion.
still, a non weight drained Nate Campbell would have probebly finished him. he tired noticably from the middle rounds on. huge difference from the Campbell who was fresh as a daisy against Juan Diaz.
It was sort of hard to score from my seats, but the impression I got was that Nate Campbell pulled out the win in a close fight. a lot of funeka's punches were blocked and dodged, and Campbell was really digging in with body punches.Comment
