delahoya hired valero in preparation for the pacquiao fight but delahoya got the worst beating of his life.

i don't think hiring valero would help hatton.

i agree with trainhard, i won't be surprised if valero knocks hatton out.

OK, first, you need some points. Get them by posting and making threads.

Arrange your bet, then put the bet details in your sig. How do you change your sig? Click "User CP" (Control Panel) in the top left corner of this page.

When it comes to paying points after a fight is finished, click on where it says "Donate" under someone's avatar.

      <---- Right here.

This takes you to the bank. For some reason you have to miss out a decimal point when transferring over 1,000 points to someone. Instead of "1,000", you need to put "1000". This applies to any figure over 999 points. Not sure why.

That's pretty much all there is to it.

The usual thing to do is put the bet in your sig, but otherwise you could maybe make a separate thread for your bets (in the "Fantasy Betting" section on the forum's main page). Mine, for example, is here:

      http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4431231#post4431231

Just make sure you pay up if you lose, or else you might get added to the ****-list and everyone will hate you.

I'm not impressed either. Valero has nothing except an extremely predictable, monotonous straight left which you can time like a metronome. His rhythm is not good, it's too "on-beat", and you can see it coming from a mile away.

If Hatton is intending mainly to train to avoid a straight left he's in for a shock.

seriously this dude has been getting known for what? people notice him because he calls out pacquiao, other than that what is he famous for? he is all buzz claiming he soften up dela hoya but where's the proof? i don't see him fighting any names in the US. has he fought even anyone? antillon, diaz, katsidis, jmm, soto, guzman, mab, juarez, the list goes on. who has he fought? i really dont get the hype.

Something tells me DLH has said to Ricky that Valero is a good choice.

Regardless of who DLH chose as his sparring fighter, he would have never have won that fight because his heart wasn't in it.

For what it's worth, JMM tends to bring out the worst in Manny. Pacman always seem to neglect his defense and try to finish off Marquez as fast as he can. Pacman always throws all caution to the wind because he's fighting a boxer who approximates his size and heft, he doesn't mind being tagged as long as he can dish some of his own. But as his competition gets bigger, stronger and more resistant to his punches (Diaz & De La Hoya), he now bides his time, try to soften them up before setting up for the kill in the latter rounds. He pays more attention to his defense when he's up against the big boys, and he found out that it is a much better proposition for him to give and receive nothing in return, or at least minimize the hits he's been taking...

They can hire the best southpaw as a sparring partner, there is no way Hatton can beat Manny Pacquiao.
