Campbell beat the best lightweight in the world to get his titles. At almost 37 years old and having been at 135 tha majority of his career, losing his titles on the scales holds no shame. What is important is coming away with the win. Nate isn't the BEST fighter in the world, but he'll be a handful for just about anyone around his weight. He should be proud to beat a guy many thought would be to much for him, even after the disapointment of not making weight.

It is a bit funny that everyone was talking about Nate being Koed but instead the near opposite almost happened. He will always be considered a one hit wonder to any Diaz nuthugger, but everyone else sees Nate as a 36 year old man giving his all in the ring while beating up the young guns, like Funika and Diaz.

Agreed. I love Diaz and thought he was going to win that fight, but Nate took it to him. I won't go as far as to call him Hopkins like, but he is a proven commodity at in age, in a lower division, where guys his age are usually relagated to stepping stones. Campbell is clearly not a stepping stone.

A draw sounds about right but I could even see Campbell with a slight edge. Keep in mind there were 2 10-8 rounds and I thought the last round clearly belonged to Campbell. So that leaves 9 rounds up for question and for it be a draw Campbell would have to win 2 of 9 from those rounds. I hope my math is right here!

Funnily enough, it was a little bit of both. Campbell didn't look as conditioned as usual for whatever reason, but Funeka is a hell of a fighter. It was a good close fight. People calling robbery are out of their minds. It was a really close fight either way. Funeka was hurt numerous times, but had a high work rate and out-boxed Nate through the middle rounds.

There was more hard solid punches landed by Nate and most of his body work went ignored by everyone thinking he was completely out-worked. I thought Nate took it by a round but either way is not arguable.

Nate's a great fighter and definitely not a one hit wonder or a terrible boxer as some in this thread thought. He is a diverse fighter and can box as well as fight. He has beaten a number of very good opponents.

If Nate gave Funeka the "woobily hoobilies" all night long then why was Nate getting outboxed by somebody with a distorted mind from round 3-10??

What were you all watching!? Look, ever since I saw Campbell eat Kid Diamond alive, I've been a fan. Last night though, Nate LOST. He wasn't the underdog for whoever posted that he was. Ali Funeka only has Raheem on his bleak resume that everyone was questioning before the fight, it was his first fight out of the states against the top lightweight in the world and..... Funeka clearly has no fashion sense hahahah! Funeka was suppose to get KO'd and sent back to the bushes. Ali knew Campbell like the back of his hand in his own words and it showed because he beat him to the punch and boxed circles around Nate. Two lucky overhand rights to the TEMPLE, not chin, can distort anyone. Aside two knockdowns, Nate lost every round.
