    Vista = Valuev. Slow, sluggish, bloated.

    Best thing you can do is get nLite, grab your XP disc and copy the contents to your hard drive, and strip the hell out of it. You can add (slipstream) service pack 2 (not 3), plus RyanVM's post-SP2 update pack, fill in all the details such as username, location, etc., remove all the bloat such as Windows Media Player, use the inbuilt tweaks, burn it to a CD, then install it. After that, use some more registry tweaks. Bingo! Super fast operating system on any semi-decent PC.

    I've done this for the last 4 years and my XP is like lightning. Size when burned to the CD? 140MB, fully service-packed and up to date.
