Since he has such excellent defensive skills, you would need to fight a pressure fight, not just swinging, but controlled punches at the right time. pressure him, and when he starts to come forward, pressure again. Left hooks are the key, he always does the shoulder roll to his right side. But to have an effective left hook, you would have to be able to switch to southpaw style and feel comfortable. Don't expect the fight to be fast, we are talking about 7 to 8 rounds before you start to see the effects. Rights to the body, left hooks, right jabs.

I have an idea. Do what Tszyu did to Mitchell in their first fight. Just start grabbing him and throwing him to the canvas until you injure one of his knees.

To be fair, Tszyu was starting to win that fight anyway, but it's just a thought. Trying to box or brawl has not working at all in 39 fights, so try wrestling.

I believe Clottey would stand a MUCH better chance against Mayweather then SSM. SSM can't handle a jab PLUS he can't adapt. If Cotto was able to outbox SSM then so would Mayweather, not to mention SSM has a 4 inch jab lol

Everytime I see a mayweather fight, the other fighter always thinks that "I have to go forward and turn it into a brawl!" that is always the wrong move. it is just what mayweather wants. I think the key to beating mayweather is to make HIM go forward. Everytime I see him go forward, he looks confused and not as fast. I think that is the way to beat him.

A lefty counter puncher... with power.. and most importantly.. patience..

People forget Mayorga was hitting Shane AT WILL...Even David Estrada had him hopping a few times.

Clottey can't beat or even bother Floyd.

Seriously, the only one that I could possibly see giving Mayweather a blemish on his record is maybe Paul Williams. Even Williams is not gauranteed to do it, especially when you think if Carlos Quintana coujld upset Williams, then surely Mayweather could overcome Williams as well.

I think Mayweather would have to do something unthinkable to greatly increase his chances of losing, like fighting a top three middleweight.
