I personally think the punishment is fine but if margarito wants to go fight anywhere else he can. I know it will be hard for you to understand this since you are a cotto nuthugger but it is what it is. If cotto is butt hurt because arum is defending one of his fighters then he should go to golden boy.
I dont give a **** what Manny Steward says the punishment is way to soft! Nothing to do with being a Cotto fan either pal its because im a boxing fan! And unless ur a complete tool u'll know that this whole thing and the weak ass punishment is bad for the game!

Thats what Cotto gets for deferring to "his company's" direction all the time. Now he sees the corruption , the greed, the lack of integrity, loyalty etc...that has turned so many main stream sports fans from boxing...I believe he was naive as to these things or maybe thought his sincerity would inspire sincerity in others...Maybe he should go to Mexico and put Arums favorito out for good...but he should fight smarter and bring a US ambassador cause the corruption will be ten times worse.

i share cotto's sentiments. if margarito is allowed to fight anywhere, they are making a mockery out of the california state athletic commission ban.

arum should consider this. he should not promote margarito in any fight for a year. as a lawyer, he should show some respect for the commissio. his insistence to bring a fight for margarito in mexico invites arrogance and contempt.

Arum is 100% correct on this one. Cotto had his chance and blew it. Arum is protecting his investment. He's a smart business man. Cotto needs to stop the whining and start fighting real fighters, not tuneups and cab drivers (i.e. Gomez, Urkal, Jennings, Torres, Bailey, etc)

true, quit whining and toe the line. arum is still going to make cotto into the new cash cow by fight scrubs like jennings.

To all u marg haters. Instead of bashing margs and his trainer how come nobody is questioning the various boxing commisuions for not training their inspectors to know whats a legal or illegal hand wrap is since all of margaritos wraps in the past have been okayed. As for cotto he is showing his true colors instead of calling for a rematch anywhere anytime to avenge his loss to margs he states he would rather fight mosley. Handwraps aside cotto knows he will get knocked out in a rematch with margs and that is the real reason he wont fight him again.
