I find it highly amusing that certain Hatton fans insist Floyd would've been KO'd or TKO'd by Ricky had they fought at 140lbs. (The Weebler for example)

If I remember correctly Mayweather offered Hatton the fight at 140 but Hatton opted for Mausa instead. This was when Hatton was still with Warren so maybe Warren didn't want to take the risk with his cash cow. I seem to remember Hatton splitting with Warren just before the Mausa fight and he said after the fight he was fighting angry with that on his mind.

It did make perfect business sense though for Hatton to go to the states and build his name before the floyd fight and that was the fight HBO had in mind for quite some time before it happened.

I also remember that Hatton was going to fight Gatti if he beat floyd but when Floyd won that fight out the window.

I haven't checked back over the facts so some of this could be wrong, but hopefully it can fill in the gaps for some people!

No, it was pretty simple. Mayweather offered him a fight in 2005 and a fight in 2006 and Hatton turned both down.
