Why did Hatton say NO to Floyd at 140.

Why did Hatton say NO to Floyd at 140.

This was the time when Floyd was campaigning at 140. They asked the Hatton for a fight after he beat Kostya and they said no.

    What was their excuse again???

He was having nightmares about crashing and ring posts or something.

Make some more money fighting at home before you risk the belt against an American champion.

Hatton was ringside for Mayweather's destruction of Arturo Gatti. I don't think he wanted any of that...

Keep in mind I am a big Ricky Hatton fan.

            I thought that was Cotto.

He looked like he was constipated or something. Of course he looks like that all the time, no matter what

Both of them were there. Honestly, Cotto would have gotten HANDLED at 140 by Floyd, easy work no doubt in my mind. At 147, that's a bit tougher fight, but Cotto was so drained making 140 that Floyd wold have had a field day.

                  Mayweather ducked Hatton at 140.
Kostya can walk through Mayweather's resume with ease.

Hatton ducked Mayweather at 140lbs, the official excuse from Team Hatton on multiple occasions was that Ricky simply "is not ready". I clearly remember that excuse being used quite a few times when discussing a Mayweather fight.

But what does it matter? Hatton eventually gathered the courage and fought Floyd at Welterweight.
