My theory is that his confidence was compromised by the weight issues and he didn't want to risk his 0. Still, pulling out the day of is not cool.

This is what I said. Having to crash and lose additional weight affects you mentally just as much as physically. He probably didn't think he'd have a great chance to win and pulled out the fight.

Same thing I said. Only that to me, it was due to his condition

Sounds like he really just cannot make the weight anymore. It will be interesting to see how he does at 140.

No offense but i think that Nate got too concern to talk smack on all the boxing sites and because of that now ended up looking like a jerk...He needs to worry more on his boxing career than his online representation.

Anyway, I can see Nate beating Paulie, Witter, D-Hop. Not sure about Torres, Holt, Hatton but I'm sure it'd be competitive.

don't know about him. Nate isn't a big guy really for 135 and witter has been there for how long? Paulie, well, he was beaten by Cotto and by hatton. both are MUCH stronger than he is. However he might be damaged goods by now but i honestly think it won't be easy to campaign in 140

Im just upset because I like Nate alot and I hate to see him lose those belts. With them he had a hard time getting good fights, just think without them it will be even harder, too much risk, too little reward is what opponents will be thinking. Stay up Nate, win this one for us all, we are with you.

If that's true my opinion on Nate hasn't changed.
I'm with ya'. If this is the only time this occurs and he moves up to 140 and that's the last we hear of it, good enough. What else can we ask for?

Lotta' good fighters up @ 140, though...Bradley, Holdt, Hatton , Pac, Ortiz...deep water and sharks abound...
