It is pathetic that he couldn't make weight. You don't respect the sport when you can't make weight. You have months to do it. Every fighter does it. If you want to be respected as a championship level fighter, it is prerequiste that making weight is a part of being a champ.Comment

Everyone in here should smoke one and relax, he's got 2 hours, 3lbs isnt that much to get off. He'll make weight, he knows what he's got at stake.
People wanna comment that he's doing or did what Guzman did before they fought, but the biggest difference is that Guzman didnt even try, he was a bi.tchboy for not even having the respect for everyone involved, including his own promoter to tell em that he wasnt even close to making weight....That was classless and shameful.
Do i agree with what Campbell has done, no! But at least he showed up for the weigh-in and is hopefully working his ass off to make this fight happen.Comment

Promoter Gary Shaw has just informed BoxingScene.com that Nate Campbell has failed to make weight, for the second time, for tomorrow's mandatory scrap with Ali Funeka. Campbell hit the scales two hours ago and weighed 138-pounds, three pounds over the lightweight limit of 135-pounds. He was given two hours to make good and came in at 137 1/2 on the second try. The fight is still going forward. Because Campbell failed to make weight, the IBF/WBO lightweight titles are only at stake for Funeka. If Campbell wins the fight, both titles will be declared vacant.Comment
