I'll be damned if I'm paying $25 to see a past prime legend mix it up with a china chinned prospect.

Barrera kills Khan as long as his gash doesn't reopen.

I've got a feeling that another young British-Asian boxer is going to lose to the Mexican legend. I see Khan losing like Naseem Hamed did all them years ago, but not in a similar fashion. Berrera is stepping up a few weights and is 34 now; Khan on the other hand is young and is actually quite big for a lightweight.

It depends how "past it" Berrera is, if he has the gusto to fight - Khan and his chin are in trouble, if his sluggishness reflects his age then i can see a hyperactive Khan winning on the scorecards, still, i think Berrera will probably knock him out - just when Khan feels he is pushing for the win.

I really wish Barrera wouldn't insist on fighting on at this point in his career, but as an all time favorite of mine, I have to back him no matter what. I just don't want to see the man tarnish his legacy like so many before him have.

Barrera is past prime, if he were shot, I would be a lot more worried about this one. He doesn't have a whole lot left in the tank, but the way I see it : What little bit he does have left, will be more than enough to draw upon to vanquish Khan.

After that, who knows. He'll probably want the winner of Campbell/Funeka, or possibly a match with the winner of Marquez/Diaz.

              Totally agree.

After the result of Khan's previous 30 seconds in the ring, Barrera is the last thing Khan needs. IMO Frank Warren already considers Khan damaged goods, and not worth protecting, so they are throwing the kid to the lions for some quick cash. Big mistake for Khan, and a decent payday for his promoters - Sports Network.

It's entirely possible. You don't think maybe Warren wants revenge against Marco though? I smile a bit thinking about it.

I wouldn't send Amir Khan on a vengeance mission personally, not against someone like Barrera anyway.

I think Hamed spilt with Frank Warren way before he faced Barrera? Unless i've just wooooosssssshed myself and gone way off track?

I can't believe this in on PPV, you feel kinda bad wanting a PPV in boxing to fail. But at the end of the day PPV's like this are bad for the sport, and the more people buy them the more PPV's will get put on. Leaving the promoters getting richer at the literal expense of the public and sport.

Anyways, I agree Barrera still has the experience, tactical brain and knack for pulling off a win like this. If Khan didn't have a china chin to protect I'd favour Amir, but given that I think Marco's going to have some confidence and patience that a good timed well placed shot could turn the fight in his favour. Plus he could even win on points on clever boxing ability, tactics if he moves subtly and counters well.
