Lacy is overrated. Calzaghe is great and was way too much for Lacy to handle. I think Lacy will still win fights but he won't beat any of the top tier guys in the division.

Jeff Lacy doesnt seem to posess a jab,and because of that he always seems to stumble in.He had power and confidence at this time in his career,but this was Scott Pemberton he was fighting.Any world class fighter would have a relatively easy night with him,pre or post calzaghe.

lacy had great potential and imo was very poorly managed. i can understand the problems for gary shaw, he had a guy that was just too powerful for his own good he was KO'ing ppl left right and centre and because of that he didn't really need to work on other things. the one time he came up against someone who had seen power like that before he had nothing to fall back on.

lacy could have been a great fighter, imo they needed to force him to move up and face LHW's who would have hit harder and would have meant that he had to learn things like head movement, feints and working behind the jab.

the beating he took from zghe didn't hep and since his left shoulder injury his powerful left hook hasn't been there.

now hes just a gatekeeper for the division
