When I'm at work, bored out of my ****ing mind... I do things like, compare the opposition of my favorite fighters...

        Wright fought Hopkins
        Morales fought Pacquiao

This is one of those matchups where I'm just kind of stumped and want a second opinion as to who is better. I know that Hopkins is better at the time when they both fought, but... I was just curious what people thought resume-wise.

        I lean Pacquiao myself.

BH gets bonus points for fighting at his age but i would say Pac. He is p4p no1 afterall. If BH had a better resume i would assume he would be p4p no1.
BH got credit for beating DLH and even Pac beat him. So hard to call but i would say Pac.
I remember when i first saw BH against RJJ. BH looked so damn average and i wouldnt have thought he would have such a long succesful career. I saw nothing in that fight with RJJ to tell me BH was anything special.

Hopkins was P4P number 1 for a long time. The recent P4P list doesn't mean anything when comparing resumes.

I believe Bernard has the edge when it comes to accomplishments.....but it's close. Right now Hopkins in my opinion is ahead of Pac in the ATG list.

                  B-HOP:
2 time world Champ in 2 divisions
                  20+ defenses
                  Notable fights: WinkyWright(HOF), Glen Johnson(HOF), Tito Trinidad(ATG), Oscar DLH(ATG), K.Pavlik(HOF), Tarver(HOF)

                  PAC:
5 time World Champ in 5 divisions
Notable fights: Marco Barrera(ATG), Erik Morales(ATG), Juan Manuel Marquez(HOF), Oscar DLH(ATG)

I picked pacquiao over hopkins. there basically are only 2 reasons...

                    1) the divisions pac compete are better than the divisions hopkins competes. imho jr. middleweight to heavyweight is a wasteland with a few good fighters here and there. welterweight to bantamweight are where most p4p boxers reside.

                    2) pac moving up and destroying skilled opponents is way more impressive than hopkins moving up and decisioning opponents or getting close losses or waiting for smaller fighters to move up.

IMHO you cant really blame hopkins cause pac had more to work with.
