Feinting is a lost art in boxing though, a lot of fighters don't do it nowadays.

The Latin Fake as Mel likes to call him.

No seriously, he seems to do a bit of feinting ive noticed, but mainly head feints he got that herky jerky style like Robbie Peden.

            nice thread.
i think both have things that make them really important.
but the jab is more important through out the match.

although it depends on the fighter ... some guys have problems with a good jab,
and others may find it more troublesome to have a guy feinting and not really knowing
when and what is he throwing.

Yeah agree there. I mean some guys who look to get inside actually want you to jab so they have an avenue to get inside, because they can time it and then slip inside with a counter punches etc.

Yeah he does, that awkward movement he has feints an opponent out of position. Mayweather, Jones and Hopkins are/were probably the best at feinting in the past 20 years, they really know how to use their shoulders, legs etc. to feint an opponent into making a mistake.

I think jabs might be more important, but I LOVE watching feints. Just prefer them.

IMO, The most important thing a fighter can have is a good Jab. It's neutralizes fast opponents and you can set up some nasty shots off of the jabs that you're opponent will never see coming.

                    Jabs 1000% !!!

Every great fighter uses the Jab constantly.
