As much as I liked Tony, this is shameful and how do you not know what your trainer is wrapping your hands with?
Look i'm pointing out a possibility. I'm not saying that i know for sure Margarito did or did not know what was going on. thats part of my point that i mean its easy to say that he had to know what was going on but did he really know? and it could easily happen all Capetillo had to say was i'm putting this on you to help protect your hands better and its legal. Do you really think Margarito is not gonna trust his trainer and instead go investigate what was put in his wraps??? i think Margarito would have been like ok and just go on about his business. again i'm not saying thats what happened its just a possibility cause we have gotten no confirmation from anybody that Margarito knew what was going on. and honestly we probably will never know...

I am with you on this one!!! I hate to say it but Margarito should never be able to box again! Boxing is already dangerous enough how it is and for him to put lives in even more danger is just unacceptable!

I am just about 90% sure he used them against Cotto too now and no one will be able to convince me otherwise...

Just the way that Cotto; considered one of the strongest 147lb-ers, took a knee because he couldn't take what he was getting hit with...at the time it looked like Margarito's strength, but he didn't get stronger as the fight went on...The Plaster just got harder and harder!!!!!!!!!

In fact a year isn't that much, but its not that I want him to get more punishment.
If he doesn't get a year how much should he get? 9 months, 6 months, 3 months?
This doesn't mean he cants train. If he had a 6 months suspension would that mean he can fight a months after the suspension? fighters anyhow rest six months after there last fight. Didnt Cotto take 7 months after his Margarito fight? Infact Margarito can use that rest after the beating he got. Though it wasn't as bad as the one Cotto got.

looking away while my hands get wrapped

margarito should be responsible for whats in his gloves just like an accomplice to a murder gets charged for 1st degree . come on , how are you not gonna see what your trainer is doing to your wraps . its not like he's blindfolded. is there so many distractions in the locker room . this trainer is some magician .

I'm sure Margarito would have gotten even more beaten up if he was able to last more rounds. Which he didn't because he got knocked out in the beginning of the 9th round and it was without plaster. But Cotto was all bloody all over. Doesn't mean he got more punches landed on him, but they did bigger damage than what Margarito got from Mosley.

Not allowing the boxer to bare the responsibility equally is like sombody (a trainer) handing someone a gun (a boxer) and then that person pulls the trigger and kills someone. At that point you can't claim that you didn't know the gun wasn't loaded.

Same with the gloves. Hey, it's not like the fighter is in another room when HIS hands are being taped. It is the fighter's responsiblity not to cheat. I'm sorry, but this incident makes Margarcheato a cheater.

People must think we are ****ing ****** when they say Margarito didn't know. PLEASE. He ****ing knew. You don't cause damage like he caused without loaded gloves. Just watching him punch you can tell he doesn't hit that hard without assistance.

it may be harsh, but the the commission is trying to make an example out of margarito which will deter others...

                    anyways... its only 1 year.
