no he lost to byron mitchell and probably a couple of others, was a good technical fighter though. Would have got himself knocked out by calzaghe no doubt about it

A highly skilled defensive specialist with the p4p most boring style ever that I know of.

He was a winner of several controversial decisions but what NSB fails to understand is that it's as easy to see Ottke as a winner in those fights as it is to see his opponent as winner. I think I've watched nearly all his defenses and the most debateable was the Reid win. I could see Ottke winning the rest.

I doubt that Ottke's critiques has seen more than one Ottke fight at the most. Just sayin'...

Underrated technician but there's no way he should've won all of his fights.

His style was more suited for the amateurs than professional boxing. Just look at the list of names that he beat in the amateurs, it's very impressive. He had wins over Michael Moorer, Chris Byrd, Antonio Tarver, JC Gomez, Zsolt Erdei...

Lost to mitchell, Brewer twice, maybe johnson althought that fight was very close and was involved in the robbery of the centuary against Robin Reid.

In that fight Robin Reid got warned for punching ottke to hard in the face, had a clear KD ruled a slip (and that round was 10-9 ottke on 2 cards)

The 117-112 to Ottke card is the single worst judging display in history.

Not really. A large number of his fights were fixed (and you know this). Many were blatant robberies along the lines of Valuev-Holyfield. Very controversial. There is no comparison to Joe Calzaghe. Only a fool would compare them.

Sven Ottke and his team were some of the most corrupt people that boxing has ever seen.

There is only one similar comparison. They both robbed Robin Reid. He has a fitting name. "Robin" Reid... Stop robin Reid of his victories....

Sven "I didn't bribe the judges...honest" Ottke is a decent fighter, but nothing special at all. Its sickens me that he retired undefeated with greats like Lopez and Marciano when in reality he should have at least two losses on his record (Reid and Larsen)
