Another theory might be marg just wanted to have a very entertaining, impressive, and electrifying show on a free HBO card so they figured they would put some more pop in his punch and boast marg's marketability a little more on the main stage.

Interesting, I belive it, tell me more....oh and, you know the magic Chavez put on his bandana, to ward off the evil spells of Rosario in their fight, WAS NOT MAGIC. Yeah, they tinted hs forhead with pepper spray that JUlio was inmune to, so every time he came in close he would blind him.

welp, with no disrespect to the original poster..
I think it's the complete opposite. I think if he were to cheat against Mosley and not Cotto... I could have seen why. Mosley didn't let him touch him to come close to him for more than 20 seconds the entire fight. He'd need to make up for the lack of volume punches with strong, 1-2 punches here and there punches that could allow him to get in there and destroy Mosley in the later rounds. He didn't need that against Cotto. He knew he could get Cotto in a brawl and that's where he landed most of his shots.

Keep in mind, I don't know if margo cheated or what. But I definitely do not know if he cheated against both.. but if proven only against one person aka mosley, i could definitely see why.
