I have to agree with this...

Soto is a 5 loss fighter, who is extremely good, but not likely to skyrocket you into a position to get a big fight, even if you win convincingly.

He also has been calling Pacquiao out constantly, and was going to move up in weight to immediately fight someone with 3 ABC belts. Afraid is something I wouldn't use to describe Guzman.

Since Nov. 2007 he has fought 2 guys while Manny Pacquiao has fought 5 with the 6 coming guaranteed before Guzman fights anyone.
Its not lack of options...he does not want to fight. If Pac wanted to fight as often as him, he could...but he is a true warrior. He is on a De La Hoya and Hopkins schedule...which we know he cant afford. Even Margarito has fought 4 guys in the same time frame.Paul Williams like 4-5. Juan Manuel Lopez fought 5 with 6 on the way. Kelly Pavlik 4- 5. These are guys with names its even easier to find up and coming fighters that fight 3-4 times a year because their climbing the ranks and hungry...such as Berto and more.
These are all names who can if they wanted to fight 2 times a year...but they want to fight, they are warriors. Guzman is delusional and afraid.

I got an idea...do what everyone does to get to the top ..fight the best...duh, and not once a year fight a journey man.

Humberto Soto is not a journeyman. He's a hell of a lot more legit than multiple fighters I can think of with less losses on their records.

He was scheduled to fight Nate Campbell until he screwed that up... that is a pretty risky fight and is by no means a big pay day either.

He was scheduled to fight Nate Campbell until he screwed that up... that is a pretty risky fight and is by no means a big pay day either.

Whether he is scared like I say or Lazy like you say....neither is an attribute of a great fighter or champion. Think about this...every so called "feared fighter" in recent history have all had more fights than him and more recognizable and respectable competition in the same time frame IE, Margarito, Williams, Wright. Its not that he cant get a fight...He doesnt want to fight. If those guys can get good fights he certainly can. If people want to say that it was the Nate Campbell situation that did this...guess what? He has been not fighting good fighters well before that situation and he was still fighting once or twice a year....so lets be real.
Hey Im a boxing fan I wish he would fight good fighters too...personally I dont think he will get far but Im a fan and would like to see it...but he is not great fighter material...scared or lazy...doesn't matter.

Your either dense or in denial or I'm just putting so many reasons why this guy sucks that your confused, "the two" were Barrios and Soto(mentioned by dominicano) and knowing what Guzman did to escape Campbell isn't exactly boxing rocket science , even casual fans know the "incident" of weight also if a boxer like Guzmans only claim to fame is how close he got to fighting "a pretty good fighter" in Nate..then my point is already proven. Once more 28 losses in his last 5 opponents in like 3 plus years.
PS the fight wasnt "cancelled"....Nate was ready and even flexible to fight at whatever weight Joanne wanted....Joan messed it up very unprofessionally.
