If Margarito's gloves were loaded, and Luis Resto's gloves were loaded, how many other fighters in history have used this method only to have it end tragicly? Where Emile Griffiths gloves loadrd for Bennyn Paret? Mancini for Du Koo Kim? Chavez for Leavander Johnson? Sadly these are very legitimate questions in light of todays events. If Resto and company got away with it before being caught after the Collins fight, who's to say Margarito and others haven't been getting away with it.

Today is a dark day for boxing. The only good thing that comes from today is no one was seriously hurt THIS time, and hopefully there will be stricter inspections implemented because of this. Opinions?

The only good thing to come out of this, is trainers and commission representatives will observe much more closely hand wrapping.

Which they are supposed to do anyways, but at least they are much more aware.

Commision representitives are not properly trained to notice these things as of yet. That is why Nazeem picked up on it first. Its a big question mark if the different commisions would be willing to pay to get their guys trained the right way in my opinion.

You can bet they will and there will be reform. There's simply no excuse for this.
And most opposiing fighters trainers or rep that checks the wraps will be made acutely aware so there is a silver lining in this.
