Mosley won most of the late rounds and Cotto was clearly tired. When he's in there with guys with stamina and power, he's not the best.

You have to be the dumbest poster here. He was hitting Cotto with forieng substance in his wraps. You don't get it do you? Had it not been for the wrap hardners, Tony would have never really hurt Miguel.

Tony's championship fights should all be ruled a NO CONTEST eccept the beating that Shane gave him of course LOL. But if Tony's little fan boys want to see Cotto/Margacheater II, then get ready to watch Tony get destroyed and I think that Cintron should get a crack at this cheating biatch and I know that Cintron will beat that ass too.

Cotto had already beat Shane, he was younger, the number 1 welter and was riding high off an unbeaten streak. Why would they not do it for that fight, but they would do that for the Shane bout. Just think about and yes I know we can never prove it but can you honestly say that you truly feel Margarito didn't cheat? If you can I would love to hear your reasoning cause right now it just seems impossible to believe that he wouldn't of done it for the biggest fight of his career.
for me there's enough evidence, cotto's battered face, Cotto had already beat Shane, he was younger, the number 1 welter and was riding high off an unbeaten streak.

Well Cotto will almost always win the 1st half of his fights..and if he's wearing them down the way he does..not many will go all 12...that's why he holds a record of 32-1-26...6 out of 32 have gone the distance..that's damn impressive!..

now the only people I can see lasting the 12 now is..P.Will, Mosley, and Margarito..and he already beat one of em..and I believe he can do it again..I damn sure think he can beat Paul Williams..in a Quintana fashion..and wit the Plaster scandal..I say Margs gets OWNED in the rematch!..

as for the likes of Clottey and Berto..ones not busy enough and the other is too GREEN and gets KO'd easily by Cotto..

who else is left after that?

You'd make a fine policeman with your juvenile theories.

If Tony's wraps were loaded against Cotto, why the hell didn't anyone notice?

You assume guilt in the past, like if someone is convicted once for something, they must've done it everytime.
You don't know that. Quit pretending you do, ****head.

First of all, I don't buy that sh#t that this was "accidental." I have wrapped both amateur and pro boxers' hands, and there is no way in hell this could happen "accidentally." As my longtime coach taught me, always start with new rolls of gauze, and make your knuckle pads on the spot.

I think your question is very legitimate, but at the same time it's rather pointless at this time. Conventional wisdom dictates a high probability of this happening, in some people's eyes, yourself included. However, it may never be proven so why beat a dead horse now? The only counter-argument one could possibly think of is that Margarito came into camp weighing over 180 pounds, felt weak and listless in the process of losing the weight, and then he and/or his disgraced trainer got desperate and resorted to this shameful tactic. Since this is just speculation, I say that it is as good as assuming that he did cheat before, based on the known facts.

As far as Margarito not knowing, I do believe that is possible. You can make a knuckle pad and insert something in it that is not visible to the fighter. I am not trying to argue one way or the other, but it is possible. I will let the CSAC determine the level of Margaritos innocence or guilt.

That being said, Capetillo should be banned for life. If Margarito is indeed found to be knowingly involved, he deserves the same punishment.

let me get see if I understand you...

                  1) if margo cheated against shane, then margo cheated against cotto
                  2) margo cheated against shane
                  3) therefore margo cheated against cotto

that's a valid argument but I dunno if its sound. just because margo cheated against shane doesnt necessarily mean he cheated against cotto.

You're right..but we're not the grand jury..and it would only make sense as far as we know..he's a 4:1 favorite..and tries to cheat..but in the biggest night of his life when he's a 2:1 underdog he doesn't?..
