It says at least a year.I am wondering if they will tweak that if the test results show there was plaster or some other bonding agent on the inserts

Damn, they were really trying to take Shane Mosley out. That is conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, there should be criminal charges to follow.

          What a shame..
What a shame that they cheated, and endangered peoples lives like that.
          I really liked Margarito.
Now I've lost all respect for him.
How can you endanger peoples lives like that?
He could of killed someone. This sport is dangerous enough as it is following the rules!
There really should be criminal charges against them.
Here's another big scar on boxing..
          It's disgraceful.

i didn't read all 12 pages here, but what's as disappointing and disturbing to me is that a csac official is supposed to be overseeing the entire wrapping process. someone was either incompetent to oversee the process, or turned a blind eye to it.

This is a "we will never know" case thus the officials have to side with caution. I personally don't see how Margo could have been oblivious to the material his hands were been wrapped with - to think otherwise is just silly. Therefore he will be pressume guilty until everyone forgets. Also, an example has to be made for all other trainer/boxers and the comm can't afford to look weaker.

So... best of luck to Margo and if anything he is being punished for his own ******ity and lack of knowledge. At best, he just got a gift and had his trainer take the blame.

If it turned out to be plaster, I imagine it would be a lifetime ban, and criminal charges.

This is a ****en disgrace. Can't believe we still live in a time where "professional" athletes will (unknowingly we pressume) cheat to have an edge, and in this case a loaded wrap. Boxing is such a sport in which the job requires you to punch the other fighter with your fist but to load that fist with bricks it no longer becomes a sport. Now it's an aggravated assault. Ban this guy for life. This is a dispecable act.
