So according to you, there has never been a crime from the past that was solved. Forensic Science is a Mother... I bet you anything that Margo kept the gloves from his Cotto fight since it was the biggest win ever. If they test those gloves, they could find traces of the substance used on the Mosley wraps. I think that he knew and that it was not the first time either. Maybe that's why he always started slow, because it takes a while for the stuff to get hard by getting wet. He taggad Cotto early in the fight but it wasn't until later that a lot of damage was done by each and every punch. I know that Kermit Cintron was waiting for this day as were other boxers that Margo beat. Hopefuly they complain and there is more investigations done about ALL his fights. At least the ones under Capetillo.

#1 Margarito should not be suspended but every #2 victory where Capetillo was his trainer should be changed to a NC and Capetillo should be banned from boxing for life.

I don't agree with you on #1 but completely agree with #2. They should also take $$$ away from those purses.

Why the hell should Margarito not be suspended? He was a professional boxer who has had his hands wrapped every fight. If they want to claim that "It was just this fight" then he should have felt the difference and objected. Unless he wants to play the "I didn't know" card, then that means he did it every fight where he didn't know the difference.

Either way, he's guilty. Also even if he didn't directly know, he should still take a year's punishment for being directly involved. The trainer should not be 100% responsible.

I'm curious to whether it will be just a year.

I got an idea. Let Margarito fight Cotto, Clottey, Cintron in T.J. 1 difference. Give Cotto, Clottey, Cintron the loaded gloves and make Tony fight FAIR. Nevermind Cotto, Cintron, Clottey don't need that weapon of mass destruction. Margarito does. Suspend his Ass for 18 months. He would lose out on 3 fights.

I read all these threads where people basically crucify Mayweather Jr & Calzaghe for retiring undefeated to the point there are arguments on the site but the same people would try to give a pass or consider giving Margarito a lesser sentence for trying to KNOWINGLY cause bodily harm to another person in the ring? That to me doesn't make sense. He's an @$$HOLE!!

He can still fight outside the US so it won't be a problem if Arum really wants the Cotto rematch. They could hold it in Mexico or PR.
