The Margarito handwrap scandal (the ban makes it official he cheated), Mosley destorying Marg, Vic destroying Arce, Mayorga backing out of the Angulo fight killing my Valentine's Day plans since I don't got a girl right now... Not a happy time... at all.

But boxing has been through worse. It can only get better, right? (Oh Lord, please...)

I could go to the strip club, but trying to save money for PPV events or actually going to a fight this year.

Exactly man, sometimes I read these posts and it seems like its a bunch of angry 12 year olds stooping to the lowest common denominator. Its so obvious they dont care about the truth coming out, rather it seems they are hoping for something salacious. Yeah I read it and at this point its all conjecture. The CSAC suspended him based on an assumption of guilt. To the laymen this makes him look like he's guilty because an authoritative body has publicly presumed his guilt. Was there a trial? No, this was just a hearing. A hearing and a trial are two different things. The forensic investigation hasnt even taken place yet everyone is eulogizing this guys career.
A firm pad and a brick in his hand are a giant leap. Lets wait and see what the commission finds in March and if they deem that what he did was illegal than fine suspend him, but until then its pointless to sit here and pretend we know ANYTHING.
Boxing websites are willing to print anything and last I checked the constitution of the United States states that you are innocent until proven guilty. This is a matter of due process. People are so willing to throw a guy under the bus, insult him and claim his whole career is a fraud without any conclusive evidence. I guess all it takes is a guy making a claim these days for someone to be labeled a cheater and have his reputation tarnished. Thats how the Inquisition and the Salem Witch trials were conducted.
At the bottom of the article they also talk about a chain of custody claim that people in Mosely's camp touched those pads after they were confiscated, which is significant if its proven to be true so this thing is far from over.

A hearing is a proceeding that takes place PRIOR to a trial where both sides present evidence to try and resolve the issue. If this cant be done a trial takes place where more evidence, witnesses and testimony takes place. AND THEN...

what is important in an administrative investigation is not a full blown trial. a hearing is enough. to make a conclusion if the investigative body found there is strong evidence to support the guilt of the accused. what is important in every investigation is the right to be heard and the oppurtunity to defend one's case in any tribunal. in this case, the csac found that margarito's hand produced illegal wraps, and it was even taken from him. it was not denied by margarito or his handlers. his trainer even admitted his guilt. is their any better proof than this?

capetillo claimed full responsibility. but he should not bear the penalty alone because margarito also benefitted in the outcome of the fight.
