So, even though he unified the three main belts in arguably the most stacked division in boxing and has been at the top of the division for years and was the first to beat the brilliant, undefeated, highly touted fighters in Juan Diaz and 'Kid Diamond' he isn't an elite fighter?

I love Manny, but fighting Hatton and Oscar is purely about money and not the biggest challenge. If he stayed at 135 it would have been insisted upon that he fight the top fighter in the division, who happens to be Nate Campbell.

No, don't confuse the SD outcome with the beating Campbell actually gave Diaz. I picked Juan in that fight and Nate went to that ass. Would you have called Diaz one of the top 10 or 15 p4p fighters at that time? If so, he was elite. Oh, and coming back from the Peden fights just shows determination and character. To lose those fights and win three quarters of the belts in that division shows heart. Don't confuse that with annonymously slamming someone on a message board.
