    Valero-Pitalua, Katsidis-Chavez, Barrios-Hernandez on 4/4

Sampson Lewkowicz, the American agent for lightweights Michael Katsidis and Jorge Barrios, has confirmed the involvement of his fighters in the upcoming lightweight tournament pay-per-view that Golden Boy Promotions is planning to stage on April 4 in Texas. According to several sources close to the situation, HBO will distribute the pay-per-view.

A lot of young hard hitters on that card. Katsidis and Valero makes this card a must watch.

This is an outstanding card. It's not often you get a ppv with more than one or two good fights.
Pitalua can crack. Valero can crack. Katsidis can crack.
Jesus Chavez is a consummate pro...
      What's not to like?

and we can see what Manny P left behind....

What about Joel Casamayor vs Vicente Escribedo? That's what boxrec has scheduled for that date.

I really hope this PPV is only 30 bucks. There is no ****ing way people are going to buy if it is 50. It'll also be Golden Boy's presentation most likely and not Jim and Manny.

are you kidding me? PPV? cmon now. a PPV with no big names on it wont even be shown at bars, which means they expect me to actually pay for it?

I aint doin any such thing unless its a 25 dollar one or somethin.

Valero-Pituala will be a crackin fight, all the same. Chavez-Katsidis could be pretty good too, although Diaz-Katsidis wouldve been better.

I wish they would take apart this PPV and make the fights on it undercards of other fights....

The reason why this is PPV is because Showtime, HBO, and mainly Versus did not want to buy it. If anything blame Versus. This is their type of show, but yet did not want to put forward the money. The fighters probably aren't going to get paid a lot and I don't see any other Versus shows besides the contender finalie. Versus should have bought this, but now that they didn't the fans have to deal with it.

It makes perfect sense for them to be fighting all on one card. It makes no sense on why Versus didn't pick it up. Hopefully they price it at 25 or 30 or else no one is going to buy it.

HBO is just distributing it. It's like what they did for Marquez-Casamayor. It probably costs a lot less for PPV then it does to dip into their BAD budget. I think GBP has to pay HBO for distributing instead. Something along those lines. Either way, it saves HBO money.
