Oh!! and Kessler never lost to Carlos Quintana either
10 straight defences against who though?

Quintana was good enough to be a world champ and that is something neither Mundine or Andrade can make a claim too.

BTW Mundine was a paper champion(interim title)

When Kessler beats a worthwhile opponent i will concede too.

Williams on the other hand is way to hyped for what he can do. He is pretty good and is blessed with a physical advantage over other boxers his weight, but he is in no way the super fighter that so many have tried to make him out to be, especially as he moves up in weight.

How can you say Kessler has not been overhyped? virtually every Calzgahe fan on this site thinks he is god, and they have at some point or another called him the man at 168lbs.

Asking which fighter has the better resume is a different question.
However, if you ask which fighter is more overrated, the answer is clear; it's Williams.

How is Mikkel Kessler over-rated? If anything he is under-rated, the only time he was bordering on over-rated was before the Joe Calzaghe fight, but now he seems to be getting the same treatment from the Americans that Jeff Lacy got after he was demolished by Calzaghe. You know the treatment I'm talking about, when they all pretend they knew all along that he was no good and that Calzaghe's win was nothing, and Kessler is an average fighter.

The light middleweight division is a pretty week division to be fair. There is only a couple of worthwhile fights to be made there, and at the moment Paul Williams has shyed away from facing any of the other dangerous fighters. It appears he just wants names on his record or big money. Mikkel Kessler is at the top of a tough division and has let it be known he is only looking to face the top fighters. And as far as comparing resumes go, even if Williams beats Winky Wright I'd still say he's some way off matching Kessler. It's not like Wright is a young, hungry fighter and he hasn't fought in how many years?

Well to be fair, the only reason that Quintana was a champion was because he beat Williams. He was KO'd in his only two other title fights.

Who is William's "Wort while" opponent again?? Margarito??? You will say that.. But say Andrade is a different animal??

Is Quintana any better or established than Mundine or Beyer??

i am not saying Kessler is underrated.. Just that Williams is way more overrated.

If people are saying Kessler is the SMW king.. How is that more overrated than being Picked to beat Floyd Mayweather, Or being called the most feared man in Boxing??...

Williams is clearly the more overrated fighter..

Well calling someone THE best 168lbs when they have not beaten any TOP fighter at that weight can be considered overrating their credentials.

I dont know who is more overrated, but to poo poo Williams credentials and big up Kessler's is moronic imo.

Kessler does want to fight the best at 168, His promotor is the reason why he isn't getting the big fights.
