Also heard jessie Wilard handled dempsey no problem in sparring about a year before they were matched which make me think even more that dempsey cheated to win. Joe walcot and joe louis both sparred early on in there career walcot had him down twice i think. In billy cons book sweet william it says that a young middleweight conn run rings round then heavyweight champion max bear. Also Harry Greb handled dempsey in sparring. Is it true that that pac man got knocked down by victor ortiz in sparring? Sugar ray Learnard was knocked out by a sparring partner when preparing for the hagler fight. Any others?

I dont know they guys name think i read it in the book four kings which is about the learnard/hagler/duran/hearns fights, its a must read

I heard him and tyson sparred over 300 rounds over the years also i know that tyson has never put mccall down, didnt know he knocked tyson down. Leading up to the tyson/douglas match greg page dropped tyson in sparring

Yeah, in the book The Last Great Fight it mentions that Tyson was knocked down in sparring before the Douglas fight. Apparently it was caught on film but I've never seen it.

Apparently Tua and Golota had some heated sparring that had to be broken up.

I know that Sonny Liston and George Foreman used to spar. Not sure how serious they took it, but it would be great to see.
