Mijares he always fought in the center throwing rights to set up his left. Mijares was waiting to counter and for Vic to jump in, but it never came. Vic then blasted away Mijares with lefts all night. Mijares had a good 7th or 8th round (I think 7th), but Vic's left hand still hurt him to bad. Vic fought a perfect fight against Mijares. Whenever Mijares would slip and duck down, he crushed him with the left uppercut.
Vic looked pretty damn good that night. Another thing that happened was, Mijares didn't throw that night like at all. He was knocked down in the first round and played it way to cautious all night long. He didn't try to move out of the way of Vic's left and circled to Vic's left hand. It was a terrible gameplan.
If Mijares wants to win the rematch, he has to be active, but also stick and move. Donaire stayed in the pocket, but moved just at the right time and countered. Donaire though countered off of lunging Vic. If Vic doesn't lung in, Mijares just has to be active and move. Stick and move. Stick and move.
Even if Mijares does this, Vic will still probably win rounds off of him. Vic's awkward angles are a nightmare for him.Comment
