I know what you're saying.. But honestly, I feel like GP has gotten a lucky foot in the door by even BEIG a champ. He was being outclassed by Gonzalez before landing that picturesque body shot. He has fought one time since, and that was against a less than reputable opponent. More of a fight to stay fresh until bigger money (Juanma) came to the table. I think Lopez is gonna stop GP before Vic gets a chance. And that's with the full knowledge of his great chin.

      i agree with you.

we should ask gary shaw first if he is willing to risk his fighter.

if shaw answer no meaning he is scared of gerry

and if yes Vic Lets get it on!

Hope the promoter see this exciting match up

Yes GP lost to Ponce. Ponce was throwing a lot more punches. Gerry landed a few but cleaner shots. The judges saw it as a wide UD for PDL. But some fans believed GP won 3-4 rounds the most. Some boxing media even had GP winning by a close decision. I believed Ring mag had it 115-114 or 113. Ponce also is the bigger guy. So the punches didn't affect him.

GP has 36 KO's in 53 fights and Vic has been KO'ed before. If Vic comes forward, GP will counter him that might lead to a KO win. As far as i know, Gerry' defeats came by decisions, 3 of them by split decisions. Gerry needs to throw more punches. Vic is an inch taller than GP. GP has shown a good chin so far in his career. Gerry has a good punch also, before the lost to PDL, he won by KO then after the lost, he won by body punch. Vic has punching power but against top 10 fighters, in the case of Arce and Mijares, it went past the 6th round. Only against Kirilov that the fight last the 5th round. Even a soft puncher like Z Gorres knockdowned Vic(yes, Vic should have gotten the decision instead of a draw). Gerry, while not a a KO artist, can KO his opponents. Against Arce, Vic was stilll hittable. Even Arce caused some damage on Vic's face.

I will go with GP by UD or KO past the 6th round.

Maybe. I just don't know how much Penalosa has left.
No one is denying his boxing savvy and heart, he's just getting up there in age for a little guy.
I think it's a better match with him and Vic than it is with JuanMa.

Darchi has a very predictable left and Gerry is one of the best defensive and technical fighters (maybe next to JMM)... I go with Gerry...
