I agree. Big respect to Darchinyan, but I dont like him moving too far up in weight. MAYBE 118, but Penalosa is apparently headed to 122. Still if they fought at 118 right now, I'd go with Penalosa.

how about they can settle in 115? Gerry moving down in weight. its a good fight but i think gary shaw won't allow it to happen. He is afraid that Vic will get his ass whooped by another filipino.

I think Penalosa is too old at this point to stand a chance. Prime vs. Prime would be more interesting, probably Gerry wins it.

mosley, bernard hopkins those are old people but they shock the world. maybe gerry can shock the super flyweight division. i'm sure vic left hooks will not get pass through gerry.

I don't know. Penalosa lost to Daniel Ponce de Leon who is an awkward less skilled version of vic with big power, so I don't see him faring much better.

As is customary with Penalosa he'd win some rounds on skill alone but would lose a decision.

Maybe I'm the only one who sees this as a huge mismatch in favor of Darchinyan.. But that's how I see it. Penalosa is much, much too old at this stage. He wouldn't see the final bell.

Penalosa has seen the final bell 60 straight times, so it's hard for me to predict a Vic ko.

A younger Penalosa wins, but now I don't think he'd stand up to Vic's power.
