This is not a thread bragging about Calzaghe's win over Lacy, and how people got it wrong, but just how fighters perceptions on here change, does ANYONE think this of Lacy now? No, Dawson isn't even rated as highly as Lacy was then.

Remember Pavlik, hell people's perception on here have changed of him over the last 4/5 months.

You guys don't get it, Calzaghe beats Dawson, Dawson is nothing he was too green. Fight Froch caus he just smashed Jermain Taylor. Calzaghe beats Froch, Froch was a bum, he only had 2 world title fights.


Look at the views on Lacy, when the fight with Calzaghe was supposedly on.

Lacy is just too determined to lose. Calzaghe is skilled but he doesn't have the fire that Lacy has. Lacy will stop him.

tis is a one sided fight in favor of Lacy. Calzaghe would get BEAT!

Lacy is a beast. Tis guy is on his way up, Calzaghe on his way down. I doubt Clazaghe last 6 rounds on Lacy.

Calzaghe will loose this fight. Hopefully the best man wins but we all know that at the end of the night jeff will be holding his hands up once again. (Note to all the mortician ruled that unlike the rest of Calzaghes opponents that Jeff lacy actually has a pulse.) what is Joe going to do!!??

Lacy will KO Cal by the 7th round. Just watch Cal get hurt again. This fight will never gonna happen guys, don't get your hopes high.

Lacy will either TKO Calzaghe between Round 9-12 or win a decision because Lacy is aggresive in the ring, if lacy caught calzaghe that would be it. Dont forget Lacy is young too, and calzaghe is getting older..so lacy is the youth in this, more power, more speed, good stamina..

Pretty happy, wanted to go to his last fight, but heck if the mans lost the motivation you can't do nothing about it. He's achieved way way more than anybody could have imagined when he started out.

And the Calzaghe av and sig. I'm undecided man I mean I guess i'll have to "move on" to someone else active to nuthug.

There's still something, in the back of my mind, saying Calzaghe will return to fight Froch, after Froch racks up some good wins and becomes BIG over here in the U.K, you can never say never in this sport.

It's hard finishing on TOP, theres alway the "I could beat him" in the back of your head, and if he gets the motivation well

the difference is, there are a lot more 'someones' out there for Calzaghe than other fighters. and not even because the Light Heavyweight division is stacked or anything, because its not. but look at the Light Heavyweight rankings and tell me how many of those guys Calzaghe fought. uh huh.

you can even look through old rankings of the 168 division and count how many of Calzaghe's opponents have EVER been in the top 10, let alone top 10when he fought them. it not too many, considering how long he stayed there. and 168 wasnt even considered a good division during his title rein to begin with. it was as bad as the Middleweight division is now.

and most the people that thought Lacy would easily beat Calzaghe were just underrating Calzaghe...the guy looked like he was just sitting on his titles Zsolt Erdie style, getting his hands constantly injured. most people probebly hadnt even seen any of his recent fights leading up to the Lacy one.

Its as easy as that. If Calzage wasn't going to rematch Hopkins or Kessler, then there is no one left to fight but Chad Dawson as a light heavyweight. OF course, if he was going to continue to fight. Its as simple as that.
