    Andy Lee vs Antwun Echols?

I know that it's often unreliable, but boxrec has this scheduled so I thought I'd check if anyone has heard about it.

I don't think that this is a good opponent for Lee. I realise that he had a loss last year, but Echols hasn't won a fight since 2004!

Hopefully he steps it up a bit soon. 160 is pretty poor right now, so he should aim for a top 10 opponent IMO. He was coming along nicely until the Vera fight (which was stopped prematurely IMO) and I was hoping that he would've been back on track by now.

    Vera is crap.

    Why not rematch him?

Christ, I got red K'd for saying that fight was the worst stoppage of last year.

He got rocked - and stopped.

It would have been like Amir Khan getting stopped after Prescott put him on **** legs with a jab. Utterly ridiculous.

I think Andy Lee vs Pavlik would be a competitive fight, they should make it happen soon.

Losing to Vera is like walking into the ring with a turd on your head.

He needs to wreck that guy first.

The whole time, I'll be watching and thinking but 'he lost to Vera'

Vera may be bad but the loss was due to stamina issues. He wasn't outclassed by him just stooped due to exhaustion and an incompetent ref.

I agree, but it's still a loss that should be avenged, and pretty easily.

It's a bit like a soccer team losing to a crapper team, and then smashing them when they play them against to prove their superiority. He might as well. He's far worse than even a shot Echols.

Did Wlad ever beat Ross Purity, if not: he should have.

Are you kidding me? Pavlik beats the **** out of him.
The real challenge in front of Pavlik right now is Rubio whom people are drastically underrating.

I agree a rematch should be on his mind. It would boost his confidence and profile if he were to win. I think he could pull a Paul Williams and stop him in the first like Williams-QuintanaII.
