i dont think it hurts boxing!
i would have liked to see him rematch hopkins or even fight dawson or froch!,but to be fair to him he already beat hopkins and dawson & froch are only up and comers who havn`t really proved themselves yet!
theres always some up&comer whos hyped up to be "the next big thing" ie lacy/pavlik.
i think calzaghe is a bit overated by some but the backlash by some people on this site is just childish & ignorant!!
calzaghe deserves credit for beating great champions like eubank & hopkins!
i woulnt say he was an ATG but definte HOF!
even guys like marciano & dempsey didn`t have the greatest of resumes when you take a closer look but nobody calls them fakes or bums!!
if calzaghe was american he`d be a nailed on ATG

Joe is a jerk and I could care less about him fighting anymore. As far as PBF I'm not a fan but in a way him retiring did hurt. PBF could have been that cross-over star fans love to hate. He had the mouth and the skills to help the sport along with DLH's abscence. It's to bad he is afraid to lose!

I stand corrected: It's actually: "Wars come and go, but my soldiers stay eternal" - Tupac.
