How come Calzaghe deserves Respect but Mayweather doesn't?

    Both are ****y

Both had certain fights available to them, for Calzaghe he could have fought (Pavlik, Dawson, Abraham, Bute), for Mayweather he could have fought (Margarito, Cotto)

Both had wins over old/past prime fighters, Mayweather (DLH and Hernandez). Calzaghe (Hopkins, Eubank and Roy Jones JR)

Both chose to retire undefeated, Calzaghe fought Prime Kessler and Lacy, Mayweather fought Prime Castillo, Corrales and Hatton.

Calzaghe stepped up in 2006 against Lacy, Mayweather stepped up in 2001 against Corrales, both opponents were undefeated and tipped to beat the other, but as you know history will be more kind to Corrales than Lacy.

Calzaghe went pro in 1993, Mayweather went pro in 1997.

Mayweather was ranked P4P No 1 for 4 Years and had been in the P4P List since 1999, Calzaghe was ranked P4P No 2 at the max, and been on the P4P List after his destruction of Lacy in 2006, 13 years after he turned pro.

So the point is either both of them should be respected, or none of them.

Because there are certain posters who respect Calzaghe and disrespect Mayweather, double standard much?

TBH niether one of them gets my respect, why? because neither of them fullfilled their potential, albeit Mayweather has considerably more potential, its basically true.

Thank you for understanding my point. Karma sent... Either respect both, or none. I have seen Calzaghe stans who disrespect Mayweather yet suckoff Calzaghe and vice versa as well. That is showing double standards

Both are respected, but i feel that both are receiving too much credit giving thier mediocre resume's.
