    ..DAWSON/HOPKINS: For 175 Pound Supremacy...

Now that Joe Calzaghe has retired, he's left a void at the top of the 175 pound heep. The number one contender is Bernard Hopkins. The man after him is rising star Chad Dawson.

Well, in order to crown a TRUE world champion in the Light Heavyweight division, these two men must fight. I'm sure HBO would pick up on the fight. It's not quite a PPV card, but it could be a VERY solid World Championship Boxing telecast.

    What do you guys think?

    Who wins, and how?

I think Dawson's activity could be too much for BHop to pull out a decision. Probably another too close to call Hopkins fight.

        but he'd still lose
as a fan of boxing i have realised that if there's ever a close fight, they give it to the guy with the zero

          Dawson by decision.

Hopkins would make it difficult, but Dawsons excellent jab, and good power, would pave the way for him to win a close fight. Don't forget, Dawson is huge. Pavlik's size, and one dimentional style, hurt him against Hopkins. Dawson will not have that problem.

Would he rather do it with plaster in his gloves, though?

Sort of like how Margarito would rather fight blown up Junior WWs and LWs, yet still use plaster because he lacks self confidence?? I like the Machida av btw.

Hahaha **** you beat me to it.

I have got Hopkins by DEC. I will know a lot more about Dawson after his rematch with Tarver though.

Hopkins Calling out WelterWeight's during his Middleweight Reign

I see Hopkins Vs Dawson being a close fight ending in an SD.I see Hopkins trying to spoil the fight with lots of hitting and holding and throwing ten punches a round or less like he did against Calzaghe...
