John Murray is tough he keeps coming forward but like someone said, he gets hit far too easy and he doesn't really have power. So i can see Breidis Prescott Walking him down and stopping him in the middle rounds, should be entertaing though.

What it doesn't say is that Prescott took that fight on short notice for the exposure and had some trouble getting down in weight. It was something like two weeks I think to get ready for Abril.Prescott looked ordinary against Abril but Abril and Murray fight differently, Abril was moving around, Prescott will always have trouble with that type of fighter, a fighter who won't let him set his feet and tee off, Murray isn't a mover though and stands in front of his opponents and comes forward a lot which would play into Prescott's hands.Comment

Didn't know that, thanks, it explains a few things.
I still think he would have trouble against guys who move around on him though because he seems like the type of fighter who needs to get his feet set to generate his power while not having the fastest feet so I think guys who move to the side after punching with him would give him problems.Comment

I'll be looking carefully at this upcoming Toledo fight, just to see if Prescott has developed a jab yet. If anyone ever got on his inside and started muscling him about, I'm sure he'd get put on his arse. In the Abril fight, he looked tentative and careful - like 1 of those fighters whose power you have to be wary of, but not much else.
If Khan does well against MAB, I khan't(!) see any reason why he couldn't give Prescott a better run for his money. No more chicken legs, either.Comment

I can't say I saw a lot of jabbing coming from Prescott but didn't he hurt Khan with his jab? Against Abril (I saw the fight) he did have trouble landing shots but as someone said before he took the fight in short notice. Also, who doesn't have problems with slick boxers? plus Abril did quite a bit of moving around the ring.I'll be looking carefully at this upcoming Toledo fight, just to see if Prescott has developed a jab yet. Speaking of Khan...I would be very surprised if he beats Barrera.Comment

I just watched it again - it was a hard-looking counter left hook, which looked like it had a lot of power behind it (which wouldn't be too implausible, considering his KO record).
Granted, if Khan had any sort of beard on him, he wouldn't have been doing the chicken dance from 1 shot like that. I suppose he'll just have to avoid opening himself up to it in the future.Comment

relax dude but you did say he was a bit of a puncher but never mind.. yes i too wouldnt mind seeing the fight but i truly belive murray would take a beating.. styles make fights and murrays style is to walk forward and brawl as he cant box for ****, walking i to prescott means its over! the way to beat a puncher like him is to do what abril was doing which is box and run (to a better standard off course) mind you abril was an ameteur champion so he knows his way around a ring. i would watch it too simply see the murray train crash.Where did I mention Power puncher??? further more I never said Prescott couldn't punch, your right you aint sounding like a scientist - Stevie wonder could probably see the kid can punch so dont worry you've not unearthed anything new yes prescott can punch.
My post was merely stating that I don't see why the two shouldn't get it on.
I agree with the majority Murray needs to learn to move his head more and stop that straight line ****, yes he takes unnecessary punishment but it appears thats his style, like I said from the get go I wouldn't mind seeing these two getting it on.Comment
