The only person that has knocked down Reid was Kermit Cintron. You obviously didn't watch the fight. Reid has been stopped 3 times. The only person to knock him down was Cintron. he was never floored in either of the other two fights in which he was stopped. I also found it interesting that everyone completely overlooked the fact that Cotto was hurt by a single right hand from Sosa who is a Jr Lightweight! And Ndou began his career at 126. These are facts not opinion. Cintron destroys Cotto, and so would Teddy Reid.

Ben Tackie had Reid down and out in the 5th round of thier fight. It was on FNF so you obviously didn't watch the fight I'm talking about. I think I have seen him down before that as well and for a guy who has as bad a chin that Reid has it sure took Cintron a while to knock him out.

in spite of the size differnce that several of you have pointed out, i think this fight would be a mismatch. Cotto is so good, so fast with those short punches, and with his beautiful technique i see him beating Cintron up all night. At the beginning there;d be some good exchanges but once Kermit realized he can't deal with Cotto's speed and acccuracy he'll start covering up more and eventaully be outpointed or even KO'd

Cotto in my opinion can handle Cintron, his excellent boxing skills, tight defense, poise, power and accuracy will negate whatever size advantage Kermit has on him. Kelson Pinto is about the size as Cintron and he's got power on those gloves as well. Cotto patiently and systematically dismantled him.

Are you ****ing serious??? It is a fact that tackie never knocked Reid down! Were you watching the fight with your eyes closed? Anyone else in hear see the fight? We can all have different opinions about who would win between Cotto and Cintron, but what happnened and what didn't happen in the reid Tackie fight are facts because the fight already happned. Tackie never dropped Reid. In fact Reid won every round until a severely weight drained Teddy Reid punched himself outand had no energy left, and was stopped by a tackie barrage while still on his feet!

i think as of right now Cotto would chew him up, but in a few years and a few divisions later i'm pretty sure these two will meet if they keep winning, i feel it would be a good scrap, have seen them both a few times, but from what i have seen Cotto has the pedigree, Kermit has some pop but Cotto is an all around better boxer

The point is, Cotto is a much better fighter, and all around boxer. Cintron is right hand happy. He is a very strong puncher, and could be a very, very good contender. But Cotto and Cintron are not in the same class, and Cintron is a big welterweight, Cotto is a big junior welterweight. THey will not fight, at least not soon. SO no reason to argue about who would win.

Cotto would get knocked the **** out by Cintron. Cotto is no Margarito. Cotto has skills, but his chin will not stand up to the power of someone like Cintron. Cintron is ****ing huge at 147. Cintron has decent skills and enough power to KO Cotto ten times over. Cotto and Cintron WILL get into exchanges, and Cotto will LOSE them.

I don't see how anyone could honestly see Cotto being able to deal with Cintron's punch. There's a reason Cotto kills himself to make 140. He cannot deal well with people his own size or with his level of power.
