True, but you also have to take into consideration how MUCH Manny improved his style over the 4 years (JMM vs Manny 1-JMM vs Manny 2) when Morales schooled him he was still a one-dimensional lefty, even in the rematch for the 1st 6 rounds Manny had problems with a Weight-drained Morales, but when he finally fought Marquez again, he had become a much more completed boxer, causing Marquez to have more problems against Manny.
Barrera and Morales are better than Marquez

In reference to the thread I think marquez is and was every bit as good as barrera and el terrible but he was almost too good for his own good as naseem never wanted the fight too much risk for not enough reward and the other 2 were happy to fight each other. Prime v Prime he would more than hold his own against any of them and if someone argued he was the best based on ability im not sure I would disagree.
The great thing is that all of them (including manny) are so evenly matched and had many great fights against each otherComment

The pac that fought morales in their first fight was not the fighter that fought marquez, in fact I was amazed at how much better manny was in the 2nd morales fight, he made some vital adjustments, minor but very important, he was using more body work, more right hand, and not telegraphing his left as much. A prime morales was the answer to pacquiaou simply because he could take his power and was better technically than pac but the differenc was morales was on the slide in the 2nd fight and pretty much shot in the 3rd fight and pac was getting better every fight.

I don't believe so, at least not better then Marquez. I still think they are even, until Manny puts Marquez to sleep or Marquez opens a boxing clinic on Manny their fights will continue to be WAY TOO CLOSE to call.Comment

you see, the problem w/ watching Manny is you get used to see him obliterating his opponents, any other way and you'll have that conclusion. jmm isn't a patsy, only the very elite could get by him, he's not #3 p4p for nothing. but a win is a win however close, that's mostly the result you get from 2 very good fighters. 80% of his KDs came from PAC.Last edited by Bogler; 02-05-2009, 10:27 PM.Comment
