Can one base a claim to all-time greatness on a ho-hum decision over a 43-year-old Bernard Hopkins and a convincing win over Mikkel Kessler, who's claim to fame is losing to Calzaghe? Probably not.

He has 20 defences at SM was champion for 11 years. beat Hopkins (who is great) and Kessler (who is potentially great) as defining fightsbeating a past prime jones notwithstanding. but yes of course he's great!!!Comment

Calzaghe isn't a great fighter. Just because you are undefeated doesn't mean you are great. He is good but not great. Great fighters go above and beyond and fight the best fighters. Joe didn't fight anyone great till he matched up with a 43 year old and a 40 year old. Far from great.Comment
